BICC Prize winner debuts in Romania

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news with all our music enthusiasts and supporters of the Bucharest International Conducting Competition (formerly BMI)!

Riku Okamoto, the exceptionally talented conductor awarded with the first prize in the 2022 edition at our prestigious competition, is set to make his long-awaited debut in Romania as part of his well-deserved prize.

On October 5th, Riku Okamoto will take the conductor’s podium at the Ploiesti Philharmonic, where he will lead a captivating evening of music. This concert is made possible by the generous support of the Ploiesti Philharmonic, who graciously awarded this opportunity to our first prize winner.
