Who Can Apply

The Bucharest Conducting Academy welcomes all active and passive students of all levels, ages, and nationalities, with or without a specialty diploma.

Application information

Application Fee

  • A non-refundable application fee of 50 EUR is required from every applicant before submitting the application.
  • If you apply for both events, only one application fee is necessary.

Required Documents

Applicants must prepare the following files and compile them into one zip archive:

  1. Application fee proof of Payment:
    • Wire transfer confirmation or bank transaction statement in PDF format.
  2. Artist Biography:
    • A brief biography in Word or Pages format.
  3. Artist Photo:
    • One high-resolution artist photo.
  4. Video Submission:
    • A YouTube link to a published or unlisted video showcasing your talent.

Application Process

  2. Selection Procedure:
    • The Jury will evaluate all submitted videos only if the application fee proof of payment is included in the archive received.
    • The Jury’s decision is final, and no further appeals will be accepted.
    • Selected candidates will be listed on the event section of the Live Application Status page.

Live Application Status

  • The Live Application Status page will display:
    • Participant name
    • Current application status, which includes:
      • Documents Missing: Applicants will receive further instructions via WhatsApp or email.
      • Awaiting Application Proof of Payment: Applicants must pay the desired package fee and send proof of payment in PDF format to info@conducting.academy.
        • Once the status changes to Confirmed, you can proceed to book your flights and accommodation.

Application flow

Phase 1: Application Submission

  1. Submit Application: Applicants complete and submit their application form.
  2. Confirmation & Access:
    • Applicants receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of their application, after reviewing the materials sent. 1-2 working days turnaround.
    • The email includes:
      • An anonymous code for tracking purposes.
      • A link to check their application status.
  3. Document Verification:
    • If documents are missing, applicants are notified via WhatsApp or email with clear instructions on how to submit the required documents.
    • Application page statuses:
      • Application Received
      • Documents Missing
      • Missing Application Fee Proof

Phase 2: Video Audition & Jury Selection

  1. Application Review: All applications are reviewed by the admissions team.
  2. Jury Evaluation: The jury evaluates all video auditions.
    • Application page status: Video Audition in Progress
  3. Video Audition Results: Selected candidates will be notified the result of the video audition round via email.

Phase 3: Acceptance Decision

  1. Final Decision: Applicants are notified of the jury’s decision via email.
    • Application page statuses:
      • Accepted
      • Not accepted

Phase 4: Proof of Payment & Seat Confirmation

  1. Payment Instructions: Accepted applicants will have the “Accepted” status on the application live status page and will receive an email with payment instructions for the desired package fee.
  2. Submit Proof of Payment: Applicants send the proof of payment for the desired package in PDF format to info@conducting.academy.
  3. Seat Confirmation:
    • Once payment is verified, the applicant’s seat is confirmed within 1-2 working days.
    • Statuses:
      • Accepted, Awaiting Proof of Payment
      • Seat Confirmed, Enrolled

Payment Instructions

You can complete your payment using one of the following methods:

  • Bank Wire Transfer
    • Available from any bank worldwide.
    • Please ensure to include your name and application reference in the transfer details for proper identification.
  • SEPA Transfer
    • Valid for EU IBAN account holders.
    • Ensure that your transfer includes your name and application reference for accurate processing.

Important Notes

Please prepare a copy of your payment confirmation or transaction statement, as you will need to submit this as part of your application, one for the application fee and one for the desired package fee.
