Special Notice: Event Continuity in Uncertain Times
Given the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and its potential effects on global aviation (including flight cancellations, rerouting, and airspace restrictions), we understand that international travel to Bucharest may present challenges for many of you.
The Bucharest Symphony Orchestra and Bucharest Conducting Academy are dedicated to hosting, as usual, a welcoming experience for conductors from every corner of the globe. In the unlikely event that force majeure conditions — such as widespread travel prohibitions or severe disruptions directly linked to the current situation — make it impossible to proceed with the masterclass and competition on the scheduled dates (July 2–10, 2026), we commit to the following:
- Postpone the entire edition to new dates that preserve the integrity of the program and accommodate as many participants as possible; or
- If postponement cannot be realized, provide a full refund of all application and participation fees already paid, processed without delay.
